Dedicated to a true admirer of the City Beautiful
The First president and the founder member of the Society, Architect M.N. Sharma had worked with Le Corbusier’s team for twelve years and became the first Indian Chief Architect of Chandigarh in 1965. During his tenure from 1965-1969, he worked on major projects in the city and designed many public buildings in the city. Arch. MN Sharma, who was the recipient of many national and international awards played a significant role in enlisting Chandigarh in the UNESCO.
